Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Amendment Bill passed

The Bangladesh Art Academy (Amendment) Bill-2026 has been passed in the National Parliament. Culture Affairs Minister Nitai Roy Chowdhury introduced the bill in Parliament and it was later passed by voice vote.

Earlier, the session of the 13th day of the first session began on Friday (April 10) at 10 am on a weekly public holiday at Jatiya Sangsad Bhavan. Speaker Hafiz Uddin presided over the session.

On the same day, the National Parliament passed Narayanganj Development Authority Bill, 2026, Barisal Development Authority Bill, 2026, Mymensingh Development Authority Bill, 2026, Comilla Development Authority Bill, 2026 and Rangpur Development Authority Bill, 2026.
