A 2-year-old child fell under the train and was saved by his father

Titus commuter train has stopped at the station. People are busy and running on the platform. While boarding the train, a woman suddenly fell down from the platform along with her two-year-old son. When he tried to get up quickly, the child lost his hand again and fell between the train and the platform. In the meantime, the whistle to leave the train sounded. The father immediately went down and hugged the child and lay down. The train started moving. People look around with bated breath. When the train slowly moved away, the father and son emerged unharmed. Then everyone breathed a sigh of relief.
This incident took place at Bhairab station in Kishoreganj on Tuesday afternoon. The couple from Katiyadi in Kishoreganj came to Bhairab Station to take the Titas commuter train from Brahmanbaria’s Akhaura. They have a two-year-old child. After escaping the accident, they returned home.

Meanwhile, a video of saving a child from an accident by hugging and lying down has spread on social media. In the video, the father is seen lying down holding his child. He didn’t move a bit until the train passed. Some people are standing and saying ‘Allah, Allah’ after seeing this scene. As soon as the train left, the father stood with the child in his lap. The mother got down and took the child in her arms.

Eyewitnesses said that the couple from Katiyadi stayed near the cabin office to board the train. They tried to get into a room of that place. Unable to maintain balance while getting up, both mother and child fell down. The mother could not move away from the train even if she tried because the platform was high. There is very little space between the train and the platform. In this situation, the mother tried to come up on the platform with the child in her lap. At one point the mother was able to get up, but could not take the child. The father leaves the train as soon as he gets down to pick up the child.
One of the eyewitnesses is Titas train ticket seller Falu Miah. After the train left, he ran to the father and son. Falu Mia said, “The child was lying down with his father hugging him like a pillow.” A little movement could have caused an accident. I was shocked to see this scene.
After escaping the accident, the couple was in Bhairav Railway Station-Police custody for some time. Bhairav Railway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Saeed Ahmed said, “We tried to take him to the hospital. Although he returned alive from great danger, his body was not injured. As a result, hospitalization was not required. Later they left saying that they will go back home instead of going to Dhaka.
When asked about their identity, the OC said that the couple told the police that their house is in Lohajuri village of Lohajuri union in Katiyadi. But the name is not known.
