Will bring vaccination as soon as possible: Health Minister

Health Minister Sardar Sakhawat Hossain said that vaccination will be brought as soon as possible to eliminate the shortage of vaccination. The health minister said, "We will bring it as soon as possible."

This information was given by the Health Minister in response to a question from the journalists after the meeting with the US Ambassador Brent Christensen in the conference room of the Ministry of Health at the Secretariat on Monday.

In response to a question about the current status of measles in the country, the health minister said, "Measles is happening, we are dealing with it." He said that 20 more ventilators are being given for that. Besides, the health minister also said that more doctors and nurses should be involved in the treatment.

Claiming that the government is successfully tackling measles, the health minister appealed to the people of the country to remain calm. He also mentioned that it is the government's goal to increase vaccination as soon as possible.

There is a vaccine shortage in the country due to complications in purchasing vaccines. The stock of vaccine against 10 diseases in the central warehouse has gone down to zero. Meanwhile, 41 children have died of measles in the country this month.
