Actress Rukaiya Jahan Chamak, a familiar face in Bangladeshi television and web series, has announced her entry into politics, declaring her intention to work for the nation, particularly women, under the banner of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). Chamak, who rose to prominence as second runner-up in the 2017 Miss World Bangladesh pageant, expressed optimism about securing a nomination, citing positive discussions with party leadership.

Chamak confirmed her political aspirations in a recent interview, stating her desire to “serve the country, especially women,” and believing the BNP would provide the necessary platform to realize her plans. She indicated fruitful conversations with the Prime Minister on various issues, which she described as “positive.”

“I was asked if I wanted to serve the BNP, and I said yes,” Chamak explained, emphasizing her primary vision is to serve the country. “If the BNP gives me that opportunity or platform, I will be grateful.” She conveyed 100% confidence in receiving a nomination and affirmed her readiness to accept the party’s decision.
