Kangana Ranaut hits back at Baba Ramdev over gutter generation remarks

Bollywood actress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament Kangana Ranaut has launched a scathing rebuttal against yoga guru and businessman Ramdev, following his public criticism of her recent characterization of a segment of the population as a “gutter generation.”
In a post shared on her Instagram stories on Wednesday, Ranaut directly addressed the yoga guru, urging him to refrain from speculating about her personal life or past. She challenged Ramdev’s moral standing, citing legal controversies surrounding his business ventures. Ranaut stated that she does not engage in the sale of fraudulent medicinal products and has not faced reprimands from the Supreme Court, asserting that these are documented facts rather than mere allegations. She concluded by firmly rejecting his attempt to lecture her on character, claiming her own integrity remains untarnished by fraud accusations.
The confrontation follows a recent interview in which Ramdev questioned Ranaut’s upbringing and personal history. During the interview, Ramdev condemned her “gutter generation” remark, labeling it a sign of a “perverted mentality.” He further urged members of her political party to take notice of her rhetoric, describing her language as deeply inappropriate.
When prompted during the interview about Ranaut’s public support for his yoga practices and her self-identification as a proponent of Sanatan values, Ramdev dismissed the connection. He questioned whether he was expected to overlook what he termed her “sinful acts” simply because she admired his yoga.
The public spat highlights an escalating tension between the two high-profile figures, with Ranaut choosing to utilize social media to explicitly clarify her position and refute the yoga guru’s character assessment.
