Deepika wants to be a mother of many children

Bollywood neighborhood is now in the festive mood. Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh confirmed the arrival of their second child through a joint message on social media Instagram on Sunday (April 19). Ever since this announcement, the star duo has been showering with greetings from fans and colleagues. 

However, in the middle of this happy news, some old interviews about Deepika’s motherhood have come up for discussion again.

In a 2017 interview that went viral recently, Deepika said that the one thing she definitely wants to do before she dies is to ‘be a mother to many children’. She said, ‘If I wasn’t an actress, maybe I would have been busy with my three children. I want a happy family where work and children are of equal importance.’

Even in an interview at the Cannes Film Festival, while envisioning her future, Deepika said that at the age of 70, she would like to see herself in a house by the sea surrounded by many grandchildren.

On April 19, Ranveer and Deepika posted a picture of their elder daughter Dua, where little Dua is seen holding a positive pregnancy test kit. They only used two ‘evil eye’ emojis in the caption.

Their first child Dua was born on 8 September 2024.

It is to be noted that in 2013, Ranveer-Deepika’s love started on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Golio Ki Ras Leela Ram Leela. This love story culminated on November 14, 2018. Their grand wedding ceremony was held in Lake Como, Italy, in both Konkani and Sindhi traditions.
