Apu Biswas: Emotional Marriage Was My Lifes Wrong Decision

Apu Biswas, a celebrated actress in Dhakai cinema, and Shakib Khan once formed a highly popular on-screen pair. Together, this dynamic duo delivered numerous commercially successful films to audiences. Beyond their professional collaboration, a romantic relationship developed between them, leading to their marriage in 2008.

Recently, Apu openly discussed various aspects of her personal life and career during an interview. Addressing her marriage, she remarked, “Why would marriage be a turning point? It was actually a wrong decision.” She further elaborated that marrying out of emotion at a very young age was a significant mistake in her life.

From her own experience, Apu Biswas advised that no girl should make a decision about marriage until she achieves maturity. When asked about her future plans for starting a new family, she stated, “At this moment, I am not in a position to answer such a question.”

She also clarified her stance on the prevalent online trolls and criticisms. Apu Biswas affirmed that she is not at all bothered by such negative comments. In fact, she largely ignores them and occasionally finds them quite amusing.

Apu Biswas tied the knot with Shakib Khan on April 18, 2008. After keeping their marriage a secret for an extended period, the actress publicly revealed the news during a live television program on April 10, 2017. Subsequently, the couple officially divorced on March 12, 2018; they share one son.

Reflecting on her past behavior on film sets during the interview, Apu Biswas commented, “Previously, I was a bit too childish.” She added, “I would say whatever came to mind, do whatever I felt like, in front of the camera… because the camera isn’t for emotion. The camera is for facing the public.”

Whispers suggest that Apu Biswas’s new film, ‘Secret’, might be released during the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha. However, the actress has not yet provided any clear statements regarding the movie’s release.
