Bangladesh Federation of Women Entrepreneurs Inaugurates New Executive Committee for 2026-2028 Term

The newly elected executive committee of the Bangladesh Federation of Women Entrepreneurs (BFWE) for the 2026–2028 term officially assumed office on Wednesday, August 12. The formal handover ceremony took place at the Pan Asia Hall of the Gulshan Club in Dhaka, according to a press release issued by the organization.

The leadership transition follows the committee elections held on July 31. The outgoing executive committee formally transferred administrative responsibilities to the incoming board members during the Wednesday event.

Khadija Afzal has been appointed as the president of the new executive committee. The leadership team includes Senior Vice President Naznin Kamal, Vice President Sadeka Hasan Sejuti, General Secretary Sanjida Sultana, Joint Secretary Faiza Ahmed, Treasurer Shamima Khan, and Joint Treasurer Sharmin Jahan Arannya.

The committee’s directors include Nilufar Karim, Rubina Husain, Rebeca Abedin, Farhana A. Ahsan, Khurshida Ahmed Poly, and Mahzabeen Hashim. Furthermore, the organization has appointed Parveen Mahmud, Yasmin Ahmed, Nadia Binte Amin, and Nazma Masud Parul to serve as advisors.

The Bangladesh Federation of Women Entrepreneurs was founded by the late Rokeya Afzal Rahman, a pioneer in the development and empowerment of women entrepreneurs across the country.
