Iranian Ambassador to Bangladesh Meets State Minister for Foreign Affairs to Discuss Regional Stability

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humayun Kabir met with Iranian Ambassador to Dhaka Jalil Rahimi Jhanabadi on Wednesday to discuss matters of mutual interest.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the meeting in a formal press release.
During the discussions, State Minister Kabir emphasized that Bangladesh advocates for an immediate resolution to ongoing regional tensions. He reiterated that the government of Bangladesh maintains a strong desire for long-term peace and regional stability, both within the immediate area of conflict and beyond.
The diplomatic engagement comes as the conflict initiated by the joint United States and Israeli strikes on Iran on February 28 enters its seventh month. Following a brief period of respite, hostilities between the involved parties have recently resumed, marked by a cycle of retaliatory attacks. International observers have noted that these escalations have caused significant disruptions to the global energy supply chain.
