Ten-Year-Old Boy Reported Missing in Mirpur After Alleged Corporal Punishment at Madrasa

A ten-year-old boy named Md. Tanvir Ahmed has been reported missing from the Rupnagar area of Mirpur in the capital. The child went missing on August 20 after leaving his home under the pretense of attending his madrasa. Seven days have passed since his disappearance, and he remains missing.
The child’s father, Md. Abdur Rahim, has filed a formal general diary with the Rupnagar Police Station regarding the incident. According to Rahim, his son had been subjected to corporal punishment by his teachers at the madrasa days before he went missing. The father believes the boy left home out of fear of further mistreatment and likely sought refuge elsewhere rather than heading to his educational institution.
Abdur Rahim has issued an urgent appeal to the public for assistance in locating his son. Anyone with information regarding the child’s whereabouts is requested to contact him at his residence located at Road Number 30, Rupnagar Residential Area, or via his mobile phone number at 01745-475428.
