Veteran actor Sabyasachi Chakrabarty opens up on his philosophy of life and lack of romantic relationships outside his family

Renowned actor Sabyasachi Chakraborty has addressed long-standing public curiosity regarding his private life, clarifying his stance on relationships and his desire for legacy. Known for his iconic roles in productions ranging from “Shwet Pathorer Thala” to “Feluda,” the veteran actor has maintained a career remarkably free of rumors concerning extramarital affairs or romantic entanglements.

In a recent interview with Addatimes, Chakraborty responded to inquiries about his perceived lack of romantic history by stating that he has experienced love throughout his life, albeit in non-traditional forms. He noted that while he has frequently fallen in love with nature, wildlife, and the camera, he has never been romantically involved with a woman.

The actor explained his preference for maintaining professional and personal boundaries, characterizing human relationships as unpredictable and complex. Emphasizing his dedication to his domestic life, Chakraborty stated that he prefers to focus solely on his family rather than engaging in external relationships.

Regarding his public image and the prospect of being remembered by audiences, the actor expressed a philosophical indifference toward his legacy. Challenging the necessity of being recalled by future generations, he questioned the permanence of historical figures, citing that even Nobel laureates and prominent historical figures are often forgotten over time. He maintained that he has no personal desire to be remembered.

This conversation follows the recent release of Chakraborty’s first web series, “Advocate Achintya Aich Season 3,” which premiered on the OTT platform Hoichoi on Friday, August 7. Directed by Joydeep Mukherjee, the legal thriller features the actor in the role of Digbijoy Singh, a skilled and complex attorney.
