Bangladesh expresses condolences and offers aid to Nepal following deadly floods and landslides

Bangladesh has expressed deep condolences following the devastating floods and landslides that have caused significant loss of life and widespread destruction in Nepal. The government in Dhaka has also affirmed its readiness to provide all necessary assistance to Kathmandu for ongoing rescue and relief operations.
In a formal statement released on Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs conveyed that the people of Bangladesh are profoundly saddened by the catastrophic impact of the natural disasters. The ministry noted that the government is monitoring the unfolding crisis closely, as hundreds of people remain missing and the death toll is feared to rise, potentially including tourists caught in the disaster.
The Bangladeshi government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Tareq Rahman, expressed solidarity with the government and the people of Nepal during this challenging period. Dhaka extended its deepest sympathies to the families of the victims and expressed hopes for the swift recovery of the injured, as well as the successful rescue of those still unaccounted for.
Reiterating its commitment to regional cooperation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Bangladesh stands ready to provide comprehensive support to help Nepal manage the aftermath of the tragedy. This includes the deployment of necessary resources for relief efforts and post-disaster rehabilitation.
