Hacker group offers 6 million Bangladeshi resumes for sale on dark web

A hacker group identifying itself as “Madrox” has listed the personal information of six million Bangladeshi citizens for sale on the dark web, claiming the data was extracted from the recruitment platform Bdjobs.

The group published the advertisement on a dark web forum, “darkforums.ru,” on Sunday afternoon. The hackers asserted that the stolen credentials were breached directly from the Bdjobs database.

Bdjobs has formally denied the allegations, refuting claims that its internal systems were compromised or that data was leaked from its website.

Cybersecurity experts have expressed significant concern regarding the breach, warning that the compromised data poses a severe risk of phishing attacks and large-scale financial fraud targeting the affected individuals. Authorities have yet to confirm the authenticity of the claims or the scope of the potential data exposure.
