New Zealand made changes to the T20 team after losing the ODI series

Although New Zealand batsman Mohammad Abbas was scheduled to return home after the ODI series against Bangladesh, the scenario has changed. After losing the ODI series by 2-1, he has been called up to the Kiwi squad for the T20 series. The New Zealand Cricket Board has been forced to make this urgent change in the Kiwi camp mainly due to injury problems. 

Christian Clarke, who was on tour of Sri Lanka for the New Zealand ‘A’ team, has suffered a hand injury. The injury ruled him out of both the New Zealand ‘A’ team and the T20I series against Bangladesh. Instead, Mohammad Abbas, who is in the ODI series team, has been kept for the T20 series as well. 

There are some changes in the bowling department as well. Pacer Ben Sears will join the team immediately after the first T20 after completing his engagement in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). On the other hand, Blair Tickner, who was rested in the third ODI due to an ankle injury, is also in the squad. He has been rested as a precautionary measure but is still in the plans for the T20 series.
