Two teenagers missing for 17 days

One of the two students of Milestone College is Mafi B Sarkar, the other Mehdi Hossain alias Rafsan. Both are 17 years old.

Two Milestone College students have been missing for more than two weeks. In this regard, two separate general diaries (GD) have been made in Turag, Uttara, Dhaka and Tongi Purba police stations, Gazipur.

Turag police station GD information says that a 17-year-old student of Milestone College named Mafi B Sarkar has been missing since 7 pm on April 23.

According to the other GD of Tongi East Police Station, another 17-year-old youth from Milestone College named Mehdi Hossain (Rafsan) went missing on the same day.

Police say that these two teenagers disappeared together 17 days ago. They are two friends. Studied in the same college. They left their mobile phones at home before they disappeared. They are believed to have disappeared voluntarily. No specific information was available regarding the reason for the disappearance. However, both of them have said that they want to live independently in various discussions with their friends.

Deputy Inspector (SI) Lutfar Rahman is investigating the GD of Turag police station. He told Prothom Alo that the Mafi B government was inattentive to education. He may have resentment towards family members for talking about it. That may be why he disappeared. Whether there is any other reason behind his disappearance is also being investigated.

Mafi B Sarkar’s father Biplab Sarkar told Prothom Alo that Mehdi was inattentive to education, it is true. However, he did not get angry with anyone in the family. He could not give any information about why Mehdi disappeared with whom.

Meanwhile, Mehedi Hossain’s family was contacted by Prothom Alo last Thursday. According to the family, Mehdi Hossain was very focused on education. There was no defilement with anyone. Whether she went missing voluntarily, or was kidnapped by someone else, could not be confirmed. Law enforcement agencies are yet to reveal anything about his disappearance.
