Two Children Killed in Natore Highway Collision

Two children were killed and three other family members were critically injured following a head-on collision between a microbus and a truck in the Boragram upazila of Natore on Thursday afternoon. The accident occurred near the Royna Filling Station on the busy Bonpara-Hatikumrul highway.
The victims have been identified as four-month-old Ejaz Hossain and four-year-old Ethan Hossain. They were the sons of Akib Hossain, an engineer residing in the Lakshmipur area of Rajshahi city, who was traveling with his family toward Dhaka at the time of the crash.
According to the Bonpara Highway Police, the microbus collided with a mango-laden truck traveling in the opposite direction. Emergency responders from the Fire Service arrived at the scene shortly after the impact to recover the passengers. Ejaz Hossain was pronounced dead at the site of the collision, while his brother, Ethan, succumbed to his injuries while being transported to the Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
Akib Hossain, his wife Anny Akter, and his mother Kona Begum were rescued from the wreckage and remain under medical care at the Rajshahi facility.
Officer-in-Charge of the Bonpara Highway Police Station, Md. Moniruzzaman, confirmed that both vehicles involved in the collision have been seized and moved to the police station. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, and legal proceedings are currently underway.
