Twin sisters from Jashore achieve perfect GPA-5 in SSC examinations

Twin sisters Ankita Biswas and Anusua Biswas from Jashore have both achieved a GPA-5 in their Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations, marking a significant academic milestone for the siblings.
The twins, who were born two minutes apart with Ankita being the elder, pursued their education together throughout their upbringing. They appeared for the SSC examinations in the science stream from Mahmudpur Secondary School in the Bagharpara Upazila of Jashore.
The sisters are the daughters of Anukul Chandra Biswas, a 40-year-old fish trader, and Anjali Rani Biswas, a homemaker. The family resides in Kaikhali village, located in Jashore Sadar Upazila. Their father sources fish from various markets in Monirampur Upazila to sell at Ranibazar in Jashore Sadar.
Ankita Biswas attributed their academic success to a disciplined routine, noting that they consistently followed their parents’ guidance, maintained a rigorous study schedule, and spent their leisure time reading books or conversing with their family.
Anusua Biswas credited their collective success to the encouragement provided by their parents, their two maternal uncles, and their teachers at Mahmudpur Secondary School.
The family, who maintains a modest livelihood through the father’s fish trade and the support of their uncles—one of whom is a teacher and the other a fruit merchant—has expressed great pride in the sisters’ accomplishments. Looking toward the future, both Ankita and Anusua have stated their ambition to become physicians.
