The fire of the 11-storey building in Banani of the capital has been brought under control. The fire broke out on the highest floor of the building. The fire service said that the fire was brought under control at around 8:30 p.m. today.
Earlier, a WhatsApp message sent from the media cell of the fire service informed that the fire broke out around 6:30 in the evening. Seven fire service units are working to douse the fire.

The message of the fire service also informed that the building is located on road number 12 next to the raw market of Banani. House number 44. Two units from Baridhara fire station reached the spot within 15 minutes after receiving the information and started extinguishing the fire. Initially two units started functioning but later five more units joined. Details on the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage were not immediately available.
