The bodies of expatriate brothers from Chittagong’s Rangunia, who were found inside a car in Oman, have been brought to the country. The bodies of four people arrived at Dhaka’s Shahjalal International Airport at around nine o’clock on Tuesday night.

Chittagong-7 Constituency (Rangunia) Member of Parliament Humam Quader Chowdhury received the body from the airport. After that, the coffined bodies were taken home to Rangunia in Chittagong by car.

The bodies of the four brothers reached their home in Lalanagar area of ​​Rangunia early on Wednesday morning. At this time, the relatives burst into tears. Neighbors and people from far away gathered there on the news of bringing the dead bodies. A mournful atmosphere was created in the area.

Last Wednesday night, the dead bodies of four expatriate brothers from Lalanagar in Rangunia were recovered from inside a car in Muladdah area of ​​Oman in the Middle East. They are Shahidul Islam, Sirajul Islam, Shahidul Islam and Rashedul Islam. According to the Royal Oman Police, the four people died due to inhalation of carbon monoxide gas emitted from the AC exhaust while the car was running.

The cousin of the deceased, Emran Hossain, told Prothom Alo that the bodies of four brothers were dug side by side for burial. Their funeral will be held around 11 am today.

When asked, Member of Parliament Humam Quader Chowdhury said that the people of the area are very saddened by the death of four brothers together. The government has provided immediate financial assistance to the expatriates’ families for burial and transportation expenses.

According to family sources, two of the brothers were supposed to return home on May 15. So four brothers took a car and went out together for shopping. Meanwhile, their bodies were recovered from the car on the way.

Then the police came and opened the door and recovered the bodies of four people.
