Renowned Actor and Singer Fazlur Rahman Babu Undergoes Successful Open-Heart Surgery

Celebrated Bangladeshi actor and singer Fazlur Rahman Babu is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in the capital after suffering a sudden heart attack on February 16.

He was immediately taken to a private hospital following the cardiac emergency. Later, he was shifted to another medical facility for advanced treatment. After doctors performed an angiogram, a serious blockage was detected in his heart.

Following medical advice, he successfully underwent open-heart surgery on February 19. The update was confirmed by dramatist and cultural organizer Kamruzzaman Sagar.

In a Facebook post, Sagar said that after the operation, Babu is now under close medical observation and his condition is more stable than before. He shared a positive message regarding the actor’s recovery, stating that by the grace of Allah, “Babu Bhai is doing much better now.” However, he noted that the veteran artist will need to remain at rest for some time before fully recovering and returning to work.

Sagar also requested prayers from fans and well-wishers across the country for Babu’s speedy recovery.
