New BOP camp under border security at Dinajpur

A new BOP (Border Observation Post) camp has been inaugurated by the BGB for border protection in Biral upazila of Dinajpur. This camp was inaugurated by BGB Rangpur Region Commander (North-West) Brigadier General ASM Nacher at Mouchosha village of Bhandara Union of the upazila at 10 am today.
According to BGB sources, 99 km Dinajpur in the north-western part of the country is under the jurisdiction of 42 battalion. There are already 20 BOP camps. Newly added ‘Mouchosha’ BOP camp. Kishoreganj BOP is four kilometers north of Mouchosha camp and Ramchandrapur BOP camp is two kilometers south. To conduct operations in the area between these two BOPs, ‘Mouchosha BOP’ has been set up to prevent smuggling and protect the border in areas near the Zero Line.
Brigadier General ASM Nacher said that BGB members are always doing their duty to protect the motherland in all adverse conditions. Through the activities of the camp, the prevention of cross-border crimes including border security, suppression of smuggling, prevention of drug trafficking, women and children trafficking and prevention of infiltration will be accelerated and the environment of trust will be maintained at the border. Recently, checkposts and intelligence surveillance have been increased to prevent smuggling of illegal weapons and smuggling of fuel and edible oil across the border. BGB is determined to protect the border as well as maintain law and order and will always work to maintain order.
BGB Dinajpur Sector Commander Col. Mohammad Faisal Hasan Khan, Dinajpur 42 Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Abdullah Al Moin Hasan and others were present at this time.
