Measles Outbreak Kills 512 Children

Bangladesh has recorded a staggering 512 child deaths attributed to measles and its associated symptoms since March 15, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) reported. This alarming toll includes 13 children who died from the highly contagious disease or its complications in the last 24 hours.
The nationwide outbreak has led to a widespread health crisis, with a total of 62,507 children exhibiting measles symptoms across the country during the specified period.

Of the total fatalities, 426 children died presenting symptoms consistent with measles, while 86 deaths were confirmed cases of the disease, underscoring the severe impact on public health.
