Man Fatally Stabbed in Dhaka’s Hazaribagh District

A 28-year-old man died early Wednesday morning after being attacked by unidentified assailants in the Hazaribagh area of Dhaka. The victim, identified as Sagar Ahmed, also known as Bullet, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
The assault occurred late Tuesday night on a road adjacent to Hazaribagh Park. According to family members, witnesses discovered the victim abandoned on the street with severe wounds inflicted by a sharp weapon to his head. Local residents managed to transport him to the hospital at approximately 2:30 a.m. Despite medical intervention, he was pronounced dead at 5:30 a.m.
Inspector Md. Faruq of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital police outpost confirmed that the body has been transferred to the morgue for post-mortem examination. Authorities have been notified and an investigation into the circumstances of the attack is underway.
Sagar Ahmed, a resident of Bhagalpur Lane-15, was the son of the late Shahadat Hossain. His brother, Shawon Hossain, stated that Sagar had previously held various jobs, including working at a candy factory and serving as a driver’s assistant. Family members learned of the fatal incident through police and local residents, as the motive for the attack remains under investigation.
