Man dies after falling from building in Chandpur

A 34-year-old man died while undergoing treatment at Chandpur 250-Bed General Hospital on Wednesday night after falling from a three-story building in the Chairman Ghat area of Chandpur city.
The deceased has been identified as Jumman, the son of Habib Hawlader from the Koylaghat area of the city.
Local residents alleged that the man had entered the three-story building located behind the District Commissioner’s office with the intent to commit theft. During the incident, he reportedly slipped and fell from the building, sustaining critical injuries. Bystanders discovered him unconscious and bleeding at the scene before transporting him to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Following the incident, officers from the Chandpur Model Police Station arrived at the hospital to conduct a formal inquest report on the body.
Officer-in-Charge of Chandpur Model Police Station, Foyez Ahmed, stated that the authorities will initiate further legal proceedings once the autopsy has been completed.
