Juvenile gang conflict: ‘Alex Group’ chief hacked, 3 arrested in Mohammadpur

The main owner of ‘Alex Group’ Imon aka Alex Imon was hacked and injured by the opponent in a clash between youth gangs in Mohammadpur of the capital on Sunday afternoon. Police arrested three people from the spot in this incident.

According to police sources, recently there was a dispute between various youth gangs over dominance in the area. This attack happened because of this. The injured Eamon was rescued and treated locally.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Tejgaon Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Jewel Rana said that three persons involved in the attack have been arrested from the spot. Efforts are on to arrest others.

According to the concerned sources, there has been concern about youth gang violence in Mohammadpur area for a long time. Several gangs have formed in different areas, who are involved in domination, extortion and various crimes. Most of the members of these gangs are teenagers or young adults who show their power on social media and try to spread influence in the area.
