A court is scheduled to deliver a verdict on Tuesday in the case against Hasanul Haq Inu, the president of the Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JASD), regarding allegations of crimes against humanity committed during the July mass uprising.
Inu stands as the sole defendant in the case, facing a total of eight formal charges. Central to the prosecution’s case is the allegation that he played a direct role in the violence by inciting attacks against protesters and ordering the killing of six individuals in Kushtia during the height of the political upheaval.
