Dhaka’s temperature rose further, heat wave in 20 districts
Heat wave is flowing in 20 districts of the country today on Thursday. Among them is the capital Dhaka. The temperature in the capital has increased today compared to yesterday. However, the maximum temperature of the country has decreased today compared to yesterday. Sources from the Meteorological Department say that there is little chance of temperature change on Friday.
Sources of Meteorological Department said that heat wave is flowing in 20 districts including Khulna division today. The rest of the districts outside Khulna where the heat wave is flowing are 37 degrees Celsius in Dhaka, 36 in Faridpur, 36 in Madaripur, 37 in Rajshahi, 36.2 in Pabna, 36.1 in Sirajganj, 36 in Bandarban, 36.6 in Rangamati, 36 degrees Celsius in Munshiganj and Patuakhali. The number of districts in Khulna division is 10. Apart from this, heat wave is flowing in 20 districts across 10 districts today.
Today the temperature of Dhaka has been recorded at 37 degrees Celsius. Yesterday the temperature was 36.5 degrees Celsius.
Today, the highest temperature in the country was recorded at Jessore, 38 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature has decreased today compared to yesterday. Yesterday, the highest temperature in the country was recorded in Rajshahi, 40 degrees Celsius. It was the highest temperature this year.
Heat wave started in the country from the beginning of this month. Later, however, it decreases. The temperature has been rising for about a week. The Meteorological Department has said in this month’s weather forecast that there may be several severe heatwaves this month.
When the temperature reaches 36 degrees Celsius in an area, it is considered to be a heat wave. Accordingly, heat wave is flowing in 9 more districts today except Rajshahi. The districts are 37 degrees Celsius in Jessore and Sirajganj, 36.6 degrees Celsius in Faridpur, 36.5 degrees Celsius in Chuadanga, Kushtia and Pabna, 36.3 degrees Celsius in Rangamati, 36.2 degrees Celsius in Dhaka and 36 degrees Celsius in Khulna.
