Case in the name of all the leaders of the new committee of Khagrachari District Chhatra League

The police have filed a case against all the leaders of the new committee of the district branch of the banned Chhatra League in Khagrachari. Apart from this, a district Awami League leader and 30 unidentified persons have been accused in the same case. This case was registered under the Anti-Terrorism Act at Khagrachari Sadar Police Station on Saturday afternoon. In the case, the accused have been accused of carrying out anti-state activities and trying to create an unstable environment.

Earlier on April 16, the news of the announcement of the new committee of the Khagrachari district branch of the banned Chhatra League spread on social media. Monir Hossain was made the president and Jitjoy Tripura the general secretary of the 39-member committee.

According to the police, after the formation of the committee, the leaders of the district branch gathered at a community center of Kamalchari Union of Sadar Upazila on April 21. Khagrachari District Awami League Secretary for Agriculture Shubmangal Chakma worked behind the scenes. After learning about the matter yesterday, Deputy Inspector (SI) of Khagrachari Sadar Police Station Badsha Bulbul filed a case as a plaintiff.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Khagrachari Sadar Police Station Kay Kislu confirmed the case. He said that a case has been registered against the names of 39 members of the new committee of the banned Chhatra League and one leader of the banned Awami League. Apart from this, 20-30 people have been named as accused. Police operations are continuing to nab the accused.
