Supporters of the Awami League and its affiliated organizations staged a brief, clandestine protest march in Rajshahi early Tuesday, marking a rare public appearance for the group since the organization’s activities were banned. The rally took place at dawn along the Rajshahi-Naogaon highway within the Nao-hata municipal area of Paba Upazila.

According to local reports, the procession began around 6:00 a.m. near the Rahman Cold Storage area and concluded shortly after reaching the local Rural Electrification Board office. The entire demonstration lasted less than ten minutes, with participants dispersing quickly to avoid detection. Video footage of the event, which has since circulated on social media, shows a group of individuals chanting slogans while largely keeping their faces obscured by masks.

Witnesses identified the participants as members from various wings of the party, including the Jubo League, Swechasebak League, and Chhatra League. This event represents the first public demonstration held under the Awami League banner in the region since the political shifts of August 5.

The demonstration follows a similar recent incident in the Rajshahi metropolitan area, where members of the banned student wing, the Chhatra League, held a flash protest. Authorities confirmed that two individuals were arrested in connection with that earlier incident.
