A young man was arrested while secretly taking photos of female students in Bangladesh Agricultural University, drugs were later found

A young man was caught red-handed by students while secretly taking photos of female students at the Bangladesh Agricultural University campus (Bakribi). He was later taken to the proctor’s office and found to be in possession of drugs. After that, he was handed over to the police, the university administration said.
This incident happened at Abdul Jabbar intersection of the university on Monday afternoon. The detained Abu Kharia Tofail (32) is a resident of Netrakona district.
Talking to the eyewitnesses and students, it is known that the accused youth was suspiciously standing with the mobile phone in his hand. Then he was caught red-handed while taking a picture of a university student on his phone. Later, the students took him to the university proctor’s office. After taking it there, he broke his phone.
A student of the food engineering department who was a victim of the incident said, “While returning from the gymnasium after watching the game, a brother told us that the person was probably taking pictures of us. Later we asked him to see the phone and we saw several pictures of some other girls who were there along with us. Then I took him to the proctor’s office.
Deputy Inspector (SI) of the University Police Camp. Rahmat Ullah said that the accused person was arrested and brought to the police camp of the university. During the search, drugs were found in his possession. Now after taking him to Kotwali police station, the process of the case will be completed. This requires a plaintiff. If there is a case, further legal action will be taken.
Acting proctor of the university Kazi Farhad Qadir said, ‘Through the students we came to know that the person was secretly taking pictures of girls. Later the students arrested him and brought him to the proctor’s office. After coming here, he broke the phone and tried to destroy the evidence. Narcotics were also found in his possession. After that he was handed over to the police.
