A young man has come to his in-laws home by identifying himself as a Chinese citizen in Dharmapur Kaliatari village of Phulbari upazila of Kurigram. There is a crowd of people eager to see him. This Sunday morning, some pictures with the title ‘foreign son-in-law in Kurigram’ were spread on Facebook. Before that, the young man came to his in-laws’ house on Saturday.

According to local sources, Morsheda Khatun (25), daughter of Mofazzal Hossain and Shahera Begum of Dharmapur area, works in a garment factory in Dhaka. While working there, he met Chinese citizen An Hung Wei (33). At one point a love relationship developed between them. Later on April 20, they got married in the family.

Morsheda came to the village house with her husband on Saturday after marriage. At that time, the young man introduced himself as a Chinese citizen. When the matter spread in the area, people from different places flocked to see him.

Some locals said that the identity of foreign nationals has created curiosity among many. However, nothing is known about the passport, visa or other identity documents of the young man.
