Discussion-criticism has started on Facebook regarding the inclusion of names of 11 leaders-activists of Chhatra League in the newly formed committee of 51 members of Mymensingh Medical College Chhatra Dal. In this situation, the Chhatra Dal held a press conference and explained their position. This press conference was held in the college canteen at around 3 o’clock on Tuesday.

On May 1, Chhatra Dal Central Committee President Rakibul Islam and General Secretary Nasir Uddin signed a committee of 51 members of Mymensingh Medical College Branch Chhatra Dal. It has been convened by Tanveer Abdullah and member secretary Mehdi Hasan. In this committee, there are 11 leaders of the 2023 committee of the Chhatra League of the Medical College branch, and the campaign started on Facebook.

Mehdi Hasan, Member Secretary of the Medical College Branch Students’ Union, detailed the matter in a written statement at the press conference today. In the press conference, it was informed that 15-20% of male students have hostel accommodation. More than half of the students were compulsorily included in the BCL committee in the past. All those criticized are students of 59th batch. They are the most junior batch as first professional examinees of 2023. They were not involved in any activities of Chhatra League; But with their posts, the BCL has been sealed. In short, there is no student; But it did not seal with the post of Chhatra League. As a result, after August 5, Chhatra Dal faced a media trial by spreading a planned narrative against the Chhatra Dal for not responding to the call of secret politics.

It was also said in the press conference that a 151-member committee of Mymensingh Medical College Chhatra League will be formed in 2023. The students in the hall are forcibly placed in that committee with tags; But many of them were not involved in any activities of BCL; Rather, they were active with the Chhatra Dal in the July mass uprising. They have been selected in the Chhatra Dal committee.
