Later the relatives could not save Kausaruzzaman even if they took him to the hospital. He died in the morning.

Kausaruzzaman, a supporter of BNP and expatriate, was shot dead from behind in East Alikhil of Ward No. 9 of Raujan Municipality of Chittagong last Friday night. After the fall of the Awami League government on August 5, 2024, Kausaruzzaman, the father of two daughters, returned to the country from Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

It is said that after talking to the relatives of the deceased Kausaruzzaman and the police, Kausaruzzaman used to give regular information to the law and order forces. He also played a role in the terrorist activities of the area. Because of this he was killed. From August 5, 2024 onwards, he regularly provided information about terrorists to RAB and police administration. The terrorists later found out.

Last year, a case was filed against him in connection with a family fight. According to the police, the terrorists were angry with him for giving the information.

According to the police, the father of deceased Kausaruzzaman filed a case with Abul Kalam police station last night mentioning the names of 12 people. After that, the police conducted a raid and arrested the two accused in the case. They are residents of East Raujan area. Shafi (39) and Md. Suman (33).

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Raujan police station Mohammad Sajedul Islam said that two accused of Kausaruzzaman murder were arrested last night. The remand of the arrested two has been applied. The operation to arrest the other accused is continuing.
