In a recent interview with Anandabazar Online, the celebrated artist addressed the change in government and reaffirmed his long-standing views on former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
Despite the electoral outcome, Nachiketa maintained his previous assessment of Banerjee’s political career. Reflecting on his past comparison of the former leader to Vladimir Lenin, he asserted that his perspective remains unchanged. He attributed this evaluation to Banerjee’s historical commitment to grassroots movements and her resilient fighting spirit during her rise to power.

The discussion also touched upon personal ties that transcend political divides. Nachiketa revealed that he maintains a warm rapport with senior BJP leader Dilip Ghosh, noting that the politician frequently checks on his well-being and offers advice on maintaining his health.
