Popular small-screen actors Farhan Ahmed Jovan and Tanjin Tisha have reunited for the new drama titled Protishodh, marking their return to the screen after a significant hiatus. The pair, once a staple of television dramas, had previously starred together in several acclaimed projects, including I Hate Love Story, Matal Hawa, Ki Kore Bolbo Toke, and Couple Campus.
Regarding the reunion, Jovan noted that the production was filmed prior to the recent Eid holidays. Both actors, who launched their careers simultaneously, had previously opted to take a break from working together.
Directed by Mahmud Mahin, Protishodh features a narrative centered on a young man who returns to his home country after completing his studies and working abroad for a year. The plot follows his experiences while interviewing for a CEO position at a local firm, highlighting the challenges of professional recruitment and the subsequent pursuit of a unique form of career-driven retribution. The drama aims to convey a message of social awareness alongside its central theme of revenge.
The screenplay for the project was written by Shahjahan Sourav and Mahmud Mahin. In addition to the lead duo, the supporting cast includes Arefin Jilani, Manas Bandyopadhyay, and Baroda Mithu.
