Chandranath was our own brother, remember Trinamool: Rudranil

The West Bengal assembly election battle is over, but the dark cloud of violence is not lifted from the soil of Bengal. Tollywood actor Rudranil Ghosh, one of the stalwarts of the BJP camp, is saddened and angry at the way Chandranath Rath, the seven-time aide of opposition leader Subvendu Adhikari, was shot dead in Madhyamgram of North 24 Parganas immediately after the election results.
The actor reacted angrily in a post on social media Facebook. He wrote – ‘Trinamool proved that they are Trinamool. Bhai Chandranath Rath was not only Subhenduda’s own brother, we all had our own brother. Remember the grassroots.
After Rudranil Ghosh’s message, the tension in the political circles increased. His accusations are clearly directed at the ruling party. However, the Trinamool Congress has denied the allegations in this incident. They claim that there may be an internal dispute or other reason behind it, the truth will come out only after the police probe. BJP leadership claims that political murder is raising its head once again, dimming the joy of victory in the elections. Newly elected MLAs like Rudranil Ghosh are now talking about taking to the streets to protest. It is clear from Rudranil’s warning, state politics is going to be more turbulent in the coming days around this incident.
It is to be noted that Chandranath Rath was on his way back to Kolkata from work and was ambushed by three-four miscreants in Dohria area. Shots were fired at him. Miscreants shot from bikes. When he was taken to the hospital, the doctors declared him brought dead. The driver of the car was seriously injured in the incident. He was also shot three times. Shuvendu Adhikari himself went to the hospital and identified the body and burst into tears.
