Dhaka court acquits cricketer Nasir Hossain and wife in marriage case

A Dhaka court has acquitted cricketer Nasir Hossain and his wife, Tamima Sultana Tammi, in a long-standing legal case brought against them. Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Joshita Islam delivered the verdict on Wednesday, clearing both defendants of all charges after finding insufficient evidence to support the prosecution’s claims.
The courtroom proceedings, which concluded with the formal exoneration of the couple, were attended by both Nasir and Tamima. Following the announcement of the verdict, legal counsel for both the prosecution and the defense confirmed the outcome to the media, effectively closing the litigation that had centered on the couple’s marriage.
