With Real’s two crucial matches ahead—against Espanyol on May 3 and El Clasico with Barcelona a week later—his performance has been uncertain. He is in great form this season scoring 24 goals in 28 matches in the league.

Meanwhile, Mbappe is expected to play an important role in the World Cup for the French national team in the coming summer. Their World Cup campaign will begin with a match against Senegal on June 16. The 23rd edition of the World Cup will begin on June 11 in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

On the other hand, Real Madrid’s performance has not been going too well in recent times. They have won just one of their last six matches across all competitions. They are 8 points behind La Liga leaders Barcelona. In the match against Betis, Vinicius Junior took the lead but Hector Bellerin equalized in added time.

He also complained that the referee did not give a penalty even though Betis defender Ricardo Rodriguez blocked the ball with his hand on Brahim Diaz’s shot, which had a major impact on the outcome of the match.
