Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, former chairman of television channel DBC and information advisor of ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has been taken to the DB office. However, the reason why Iqbal Sobhan was taken there is not known in detail.
Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury was taken to the DB office from the DBC office in Mohakhali of the capital on Wednesday around 3:30 pm. Additional Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DB) Shafiqul Islam confirmed this information to Prothom Alo.
Shafiqul Islam said, "After Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury went to the office in the afternoon, an unexpected situation arose. After receiving the news, he was brought to the DB office to avoid any untoward situation. Two more have been brought from there. We are talking to them.
