Two newly elected MPs took oath

Two newly elected members of parliament have taken oath in the by-elections of the 13th National Parliament. Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad administered the oath to them.
On Sunday (April 12), the speaker read the oath to Mahmudul Haque Rubel, the winner from Sherpur-3 constituency and Rezaul Karim Badshah, the winner of Bogra-6 constituency. After taking the oath, the newly elected parliamentarians signed the oath book according to the custom.
BNP Chairman Tarek Rahman won the Bogra-6 seat in the 13th National Assembly elections held on February 12. After he vacated the seat, by-elections were held there on April 9.
On the other hand, due to the death of a candidate before the election in Sherpur-3 constituency, the Election Commission suspended the polling at that time. Later, the general election was held there on April 9 on the new schedule.
