Police recover two unidentified bodies from Dhaka University area sidewalks

Police in Dhaka recovered the bodies of two unidentified men from separate sidewalks in the Shahbagh area on Sunday morning.

The bodies were discovered near Anandabazar and in front of the Amar Ekushey Hall at Dhaka University. Passersby alerted authorities after noticing the men lying motionless on the pavement.

Officers from the Shahbagh Police Station responded to the scenes and transported both individuals to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Upon examination, attending physicians declared both men dead at approximately 11:00 a.m.

Authorities estimate the deceased were aged between 55 and 60 years. Sub-Inspector Md. Al Mamun of the Shahbagh Police Station stated that investigators are currently working to determine the identities of the men and the circumstances surrounding their deaths. The bodies have been transferred to the hospital morgue for post-mortem examinations.
