Lohagara lost control and three people died in microbus ditch, Ghatanasthal
A microbus lost control and fell into a ditch after colliding with a tree in Chittagong’s Lohagara. Three people were killed on the spot. Five people were seriously injured. The incident took place on the Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway in the Chunti Jangalia area of the upazila around 9 am on Tuesday.
In this incident, five seriously injured people were rescued and sent to different hospitals. The casualties were not immediately available. Lohagara Fire Service and Dohazari Highway Police team reached the spot.
At 10 a.m. at the scene, it was seen that the black colored microbus was lying in the ditch on the side of the road. The front part of the car, the windshield was broken and twisted. Fire service workers took the dead people out of the car and brought them to the side of the road. Earlier, the injured persons were sent to the nearest hospital, said the fire service personnel.
Lohagara Fire Service and Civil Defense Station Officer Rakhal Chandra Rudra confirmed the truth of the incident to Prothom Alo and said that the microbus was probably going to Chittagong from Cox’s Bazar. It lost control at Jangalia area and first hit a tree and later fell into a ditch on the west side of the highway. It caused casualties.
