New Navy Chief Meets Prime Minister to Discuss Maritime Security and Modernization

Newly appointed Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Mohammad Nazmul Hassan met with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman at the Prime Minister’s Office on Saturday in a formal courtesy call.

During the meeting, the leaders held discussions regarding national maritime security, the expansion of the Bangladesh Navy’s operational capabilities, and ongoing modernization initiatives within the force, according to Assistant Press Secretary Gazi Shahriar Pami.

The Prime Minister lauded the Navy for its high level of professionalism and its critical role in safeguarding the nation's sovereignty. During the exchange, the Prime Minister also extended well wishes to the newly appointed chief for his upcoming tenure.

In response, the naval chief expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for the meeting and the ongoing support provided to the maritime force.
