Khaleda Zia will be a unique example of becoming a successful statesman: Speaker

Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad said that former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia worked with devotion to consolidate the country’s democracy. He was very dedicated in establishing the rights of the people of the country. He said, Khaleda Zia will be a unique and timeless example of becoming a successful statesman.
The speaker said this while addressing the chief guest at the unveiling ceremony of the yearbook titled ‘Deshnetri’ in memory of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, published by ‘Chabir Ghabi’ at the LD Hall of Jatiya Sangsad Bhawan on Friday evening.
Speaker said, “Khaleda Zia is my political inspiration. He is an integral part of history in the development of the political leadership of Bangladesh. He further said that the tears shed by crores of people on the death of Begum Khaleda Zia proved that she was the leader of the people.
This brave freedom fighter said that if martyred President Ziaur Rahman had not declared independence on March 26, 1971, there is doubt whether Bangladesh would have been born or not. Under the leadership of Ziaur Rahman, the people of this country participated in the liberation war and achieved the desired victory. He also said that National leader Khaleda Zia inspired Ziaur Rahman to declare independence.
On the occasion, Jatiya Sangsad Chief Whip Nurul Islam Mani said that Khaleda Zia introduced the caretaker government system to give a permanent form of democracy in Bangladesh. He said, ‘Many have returned to Bangladesh; But there is no turning back for the Zia family. I doubt whether Bangladesh would have existed without the Zia family.
Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Minister Deepen Dewan said, “If it wasn’t for this Zia family, we could not have gathered here today.” He had to do a lot of struggle and movement. He has held BNP in difficult times. Today here we take an oath – if we express our respect and gratitude to Khaleda Zia, then we must strengthen the hands of Prime Minister Tariq Rahman in his determination to build a new Bangladesh.’
At this time, the speaker unveiled the yearbook and expressed his sincere thanks to the team including Khaled Hossain Parag, the photographer of ‘Chabir Ghabi’.
Ahmed Mostafa Noman and Coordinator Sadman Saqib delivered the welcome speech on the occasion under the chairmanship of Atiqur Rahman Rumon, Additional Press Secretary to the Prime Minister and Advisory Editor of ‘Chabir Ghaba’. Former prime minister Khaleda Zia’s special assistant Shamchur Rahman Shimul Biswas, BNP chairman’s adviser Habibur Rahman Habib spoke as keynote speakers.
In the yearbook, 12 special aspects of the country leader’s colorful life have been revealed through the photographs captured by the camera of Khaled Hossain Parag, the founder of ‘Photo Story’, and the writings of the team.
In the event, a photo titled ‘Bangladesh Pran Tarek Rahman’ was shown to the students to show the truth in response to the massive false propaganda of the past neo-Bakshali government about Tarek Rahman under the theme of ‘Photo Story: Patriotism First’.
