Govt getting disorganized within two months: Ghulam Parwar

Jamaat Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar said that people were looking forward to the formation of the new government and Parliament with great hope, but that hope has waned in the first session of the Parliament. He said that the government has taken a stand against public opinion without understanding the language and aspirations of the people.
The Jamaat leader said this while addressing the chief guest on the last day of the two-day Rukon education camp organized by the Barisal Mahanagar Jamaat on Saturday. Golam Parwar also said that the government ignored the opinion of 70% of the people in the referendum and created a political crisis, it is unnecessary. The political crisis is becoming too much, as a result of which the ministers-MPs have to flee from the people. As a result of taking a stand against the expectations of the people, within two months of the formation of the government, the government is being alienated.

Secretary General of Jamaat commented that BNP is moving towards one-party fascism by trampling on the promises made to the people one by one before coming to the government. According to him, BNP has stood up to protect the constitution which was created during the Awami fascist regime. Under this constitutional avenues are becoming instruments of oppression, unlimited powers are vested in the hands of the Prime Minister. A balanced government system can never be developed through this.
Mian Golam Parwar said that the students and youths forced Sheikh Hasina’s government to leave the country and leave the country with the demand of justice. But while sitting in power, BNP is giving a thumbs up to the mass aspirations of the students. He alleged that if the powers of appointment and control of constitutional institutions are concentrated in the hands of the Prime Minister, there will be partyization and the people will not get the benefits.

This Jamaat leader claimed that the dreams and aspirations of the students who raised the slogan ‘We Want Justice’ and were allowed to face the bullets, are being trampled today. He said that in view of the BNP’s demand, the referendum and the national elections were held on the same day and the people are now seeing the results. According to him, the current situation would not have arisen before the referendum.
Mentioning that Jamaat-e-Islami does not believe in violence, Mia Ghulam Parwar said, “That’s why Jamaat accepted the results of the election with a stone on its chest. We do not want the resignation of the government now, we want the government to serve for five years with the people’s mandate and amend the constitution taking into account the people’s opinion. But if the BNP does not change its position, the people will come to the streets again.
Mian Golam Parwar said that although many ministers and MPs have announced to comply with the July charter, they are talking about implementing it by excluding the clauses given in their ‘note of dissent’. He said that people’s expectations will not be met. He said that the current position of BNP is like the principle of ‘arbitration money, palm tree my’.
Referring to the commencement of the budget session on June 7, Jamaat’s secretary general said that they believe that the government will raise and pass the referendum bill in the parliament at the beginning of the session.
