Flight delayed, canceled at Chittagong airport due to adverse weather conditions

Due to adverse weather conditions, some international and domestic flight schedules were disrupted at Chittagong’s Shah Amanat International Airport on Tuesday. One of the flights could not land in Chittagong and landed in Dhaka. A few flights left late. A flight was also cancelled.
This information was given in the press release sent from the airport. According to the notification, the flight BG-138 of Madina-Chittagong route of Biman Bangladesh Airlines failed to land in Chittagong at 9:40 am due to adverse weather and landed in Dhaka. Later, the flight returned to Chittagong at 2:01 PM. Then it left for Dhaka as an internal flight at 3:20 PM.
US-Bangla Airlines flight BS-342 on Dubai-Chittagong-Dhaka route was delayed for about four and a half hours after landing in Chittagong. Later, the flight left for Dhaka at 3:09 PM. Apart from this, flight BS-105 of Dhaka-Chittagong-Dhaka route of US-Bangla Airlines has been cancelled. On the other hand, Flydubai’s Chittagong-Dubai route flight FDB-564 left Chittagong at 12:16 PM, about three hours late.
Chittagong’s Ambagan Meteorological Office said that 38 mm of rain was recorded in three hours from 9 am to 12 pm today. Rains may continue for next few days as Monsoon is active.
A passenger was supposed to go from Chittagong to Dhaka at 9:40 am today. On the condition of anonymity, he told Prothom Alo that the Bangladesh Biman flight could not leave on time due to adverse weather conditions. He was supposed to board another flight from Dhaka to India at 2:40 PM. But due to the delay of Chittagong flight, he could not catch it. He said that the entire ticket money was stolen.
