Two teenagers died after drowning in Gazipur’s Tongi. Apart from this, two people died after being hit by a train near Dhirashram railway station in the city. These four deaths occurred in two separate accidents on Wednesday night.
Shaheen Alam, in charge of Tongi Fire Service, said that two teenagers died after drowning in Turag River last night. On receiving the information, the fire service personnel and diving team went to the spot and recovered their bodies. These two are Imran Hossain (16) son of Idris Mia of Turag police station in the capital and Noman (16) son of Rana Mia of the same area.

On the other hand, two people died after being hit by a train near Dhirashram railway station in Gazipur on the Dhaka-Mymensingh railway at around 10:30 pm yesterday.
According to local eyewitnesses, the two were making videos for TikTok while standing on the railway tracks next to the station. At that time, a train bound for Joydevpur came, but they were staying on the railway line. The people around called them from a distance but they did not respond. At one stage they were cut under the train and died on the spot.

In charge of Joydevpur Junction Railway Police. Abdul Qayyum said that one of the two victims was 20 years old and the other was 35 years old. The two bodies were recovered at night and sent to the mortuary of Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College in Gazipur for autopsy. When asked if there was an accident while making a Tik Tok video, he said that the matter has not been confirmed yet.
