Some have cooked Chittagong beef kalavuna, some others biryani. Some chose Barisal’s prawn hurrah, while others chose Sylhet’s Akhni Polao. Each post had its own regional history, culture and touch of home flavor. Somewhere the spicy scent of the spices, somewhere else the subtle differences in taste impressed the judges. The judges had to face the sweet problem of which one to leave and which one to put forward. Finally, 10 cooks were selected for the final round based on quality and cooking.

The traditional cooking competition Confidence Salt-Prothom Alo ‘Pakka Randhuni 2026’ has started in Chittagong for the fourth time. The second phase of the competition was held at Bangladesh Shishu Academy Chittagong on Sunday. 40 contestants presented their recipes in front of the judges.
