Children’s lives are extinguished while searching for the ICU

When parents of many babies seek a PICU bed on doctor’s advice, they receive the news of their child’s death. The PICU crisis has come to the fore amid the measles outbreak. There have been several cases where doctors are advising babies to be admitted to the PICU urgently. But the bed is not available. District hospitals and even departmental hospitals in many cases do not have PICUs. From there many children infected with measles were sent to Dhaka. It has become difficult to get PICU beds in the hospitals of Dhaka.
