Billal of Chandpur dug the graves of 308 people free of cost

Billal Hossain Khan of Chandpur buried 308 people completely free of charge. This 66-year-old man rushed to the news and dug a grave to satisfy himself. He started this work from the age of 16.
Billal Hossain Khan said, I used to work as a magic wand maker with the Tipparas. One day I went to the big mosque in Hajiganj to offer Friday prayers. I couldn’t prostrate at that time. Then the imam of the mosque advised me to dig a grave for free. And from that I started this work. I used to keep track of how many graves I dug so far in my diary. Although now the diary has been burnt.
Billal Hossain Khan is the son of Idris Khan of Baher Khalishaduli area of Ward No. 13 of Chandpur Municipality. He was born on November 9, 1960. Currently he is living with 2 sons and 1 daughter.
Billal Hossain said, since my wife died, I can no longer dig graves due to age. But when people call, I still run. I used to work as a security guard in the Water Development Board. But I retired from there too.
He also said, I have witnessed many miracles while digging graves. Digging a grave in my life doesn’t take any measurements. I understand how to dig the grave with my eyes. People pray for me in this work, this is the strength of my life.
Billal Hossain said about his desire, I would feel happy if I got any recognition in this work. Now I pray and manage my family in the midst of poverty.
